Andy's Bio
Tralala Andy Varlow
Andy Varlow was born Andreas Varelopoulos in Kalavryta, Greece. Through his autobiographical novel, Just Another Man, Andy told the world of the horror he endured as a child when the Nazis massacred one thousand males—men and children—and burned down the town.

With his faith in God shattered, Andy eventually immigrated to America and settled in San Francisco, where he founded a successful a real estate investment and management firm. As one of the founders of the Union Square Association over 30 years ago, Andy and other business owners organized to revitalize that much run-down historical district, to what is now among the most popular and vital areas in the world.

In 1998, he donated a statue to Kalavryta to commemorate the 1943 massacre and its survivors. While back in California, he gifted his coastal land of 91 acres to the California State Parks, allowing them to join two otherwise unconnected stretches of the Point Reyes National Seashore. Andy’s most recent and final book, I Accuse the Church and the State, is a courtroom drama on a subject he felt passionately compelled to explore before he could be at peace. A father and grandfather, Andy lives in San Rafael, California.
