A Short Excerpt From: Just Another Man
“Leisurely I walked down Columbus Avenue to my cherished Fisherman’s Wharf, drawn to the smell of the sea and the cooking crabs. I leaned against the wooden railing and took in the tiny harbor—the boisterous gulls that dove for stray anchovies among the colorful skiffs, and the leathery Italian fishermen with their tackle and bait, crab traps and fishnets, who communicated with each other by shouting at the top of their lungs.”
