Well, to tell you the honest truth, I’m somewhat soft on the old boy so I says this: “Okay, JC, four bits tops for your jivin’ parrot,” I says.
“Ya hustlin’ me, Johnny,” JC says. Then he says, “Le’me tell ya this much. Johnny, when ya get t’ know th’ Lord, ya ain’t gonna wanna part with th’ motherfucker on account when th’ Lord start jivin’ he a jivin’ motherfucker. Ya hear me, Johnny?”
I says, “Four bits tops, take it or leave it.”
JC says, “One condition.”
“JC, now you strokin’ my pee-pee,” I says.
“Gotta promise me ya treat th’ Lord right,” JC says.
“Think I gonna barbecue the fuckin’ bird or somethin’?” I says.
“Ya needta sit th’ Lord up high. Higher th’ betterer. Ya dig, Johnny, pal?”
“What the fuck for?” I says.
“Johnny,” says JC, “I talk but ya don’t motherfuckin’ hear me, maaan. Th’ Lord,” says JC, “in his motherfuckin’ head, he think he’s th’ real Daddy-o. Don’t th’ real Lord look down on motherfuckin’ everthin’ an’ everybody?” says JC.
“Goddamn right,” I says.
“Good,” says JC. “Now, ya gimme yer word ya gonna do th’ right thin’ by th’ Lord, Johnny, or no motherfuckin’ deal,” says the dapper nigger.
“Okay, I promise,” I says and fork out the four bits.
